Twitch has banned popular game streamer Guy Beahm, who streams under the alias Dr. Disrespect. The ban was put through on Friday, but no reason was given.

With more than four million followers, Beahm is one of the most highly viewed streamers on the platform. He even has an exclusive deal to stream with Twitch as well. With the second ban now in effect, who knows how his exclusive deal with With will work now.

Dr. Disrespect Banned from Twitch

Beahm came to prominence online playing and streaming battle royale games, for example, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Apex Legends. His aggressive personality and group following have earned him millions.

Even though Twitch has not said why there is no concrete reason for the ban, there are some speculations as to why. Twitch has begun issuing suspensions for streamers accused of sexual harassment and misconduct.

Another reason for the ban could be due to a DMCA takedown, which has affected other streamers. However, eSports reporter Rod Breslau has gotten information from sources that Beahm’s ban is not due to the DMCA.

It is not clear what specifically made them ban Beahm. In a statement to Polygon, a Twitch representation said that they take “appropriate action” if a streamer has broken community guidelines.

This is not the first time Beahm has been banned from Twitch. His channel was banned following Beahm streaming himself in a bathroom at E3 2019. While he was outright banned, his channel returned shortly after.

At this time, Beahm has not released a statement as to why he has been banned again. His Twitter and YouTube have not been updated since the ban was put in place.

At this moment there is no update from Twitch as to why this ban has been put in place and for how long it will be in effect. This article will be updated once more information is available.
