Streamers new to Twitch will have a brand new tutorial system to help them learn the tools of the trade. Today, Twitch unveiled the Twitch Creator Camp, an online guide where “creators of all levels can go to learn the ins and outs of streaming,” according to a press release.
The service features sections titled “Learn the Basics” and “Connect and Engage,” where streamers across Twitch teach users how to run their channel, build a brand, read streamer analytics, and make the most out of Twitch’s subscription service, among many other things. The Creator Camp features four topics in total, from “Learn the Basics” to “Get Rewarded,” with each section perfect for streamers new and old alike.
Alongside the Twitch Creator Camp’s guides, viewers can also catch weekly video sessions, where aspiring creators can learn more about running a successful channel. The first weekly session will be held on July 31 at 4pm CT, where Twitch Partners will field a few questions about streaming.
“Hosting a good stream isn’t easy,” Twitch Creator Growth Marketing Manager Jessica Messinger said in the press release. “We’ve heard from many of our creators that they spend a lot of time searching for advice on effective tools, features, and techniques in order to make their broadcasts more engaging and to grow their communities.”
Twitch has faced a record-breaking year so far, thanks in part to Fortnite: Battle Royale’s massive popularity and the launch of the Overwatch League. Earlier this year, popular Fortnite streamer Ninja reached over 600,000 viewers while playing the game with rapper Drake, a record high for the site.
