Alexis Booth, a longtime employee and casting executive at Turner Entertainment, has officially jumped ship as she begins in a new executive role at Kapital Entertainment, starting today, January 3rd. Booth, whose career includes overseeing the casting for shows like Snowpiercer, Major Crimes, and Desperate Housewives, has expressed her excitement for her new role as she rings in the new year with a whole host of new career opportunities.
Alexis Booth first started her career among the production crews for popular shows like NBC’s Scrubs and ABC’s Desperate Housewives before making the move to big-time casting with a role as a casting assistant for X-Men: First Class (2011), which remains one of her best-known projects. Booth also worked as a casting coordinator – in both credited and uncredited roles – for Jack and Jill (2011), Leverage (2012), and Dallas (2013).
In 2011, Alexis Booth began working for Turner Entertainment as she moved to TNT and TBS and began working on shows like Rizzoli & Isles between 2012 and 2016, Good Behavior (2016), The Librarians (2014), and The Last Ship (2014-2018). According to Deadline, Booth spent nearly a decade at Turner, climbing the executive ladder and managing major shows like The Alienist (2020). With the launch of HBO Max in 2020, Alexis Booth reportedly shifted her focus to manage shows like The Flight Attendant and Made for Love before departing Turner Entertainment in 2020.
Alexis Booth Joins Kapital Entertainment Under Aaron Kaplan
With her career move now official, Alexis Booth enters a new role as a casting executive for Kapital Entertainment, an independent production company founded by executive producer and CEO Aaron Kaplan (Santa Clarita Diet) in 2009. Some of the company’s best-known works include Shining Vale on Starz and Netflix’s Delhi Crime.
