Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is opening up its multiplayer component to the PC community this weekend. In a move that has become common for Steam, the popular FPS’ competitive and cooperative modes have been unlocked for the weekend, allowing non-owners to try out the title. You can test your reflexes and skills against those online as you battle through Advanced Warfare’s 13 base multiplayer maps. You can do so from now until Sunday, February 22nd at 1PM PST.
Any progress made in multiplayer will carry over to the full retail version, should you choose to purchase the game after the weekend comes to an end. And now isn’t such a bad time to pay the price for entry. Advanced Warfare will be 34% off through the free weekend event. The Digital Pro Edition is also receiving a respectable, albeit smaller, discount.
With the survival co-op Exo Zombies mode (among other additions) coming in this Tuesday’s Havok DLC, it might just be enough to entice those still on the fence. If that hasn’t convinced you, feel free to check out our review where our own Editor-in-Chief claimed that Advanced Warfare; “puts together the most compelling competitive online multiplayer package the series has seen in years.” Sold yet?
