Developer Realmforge Studios and publisher Kalypso Media announced today that the latest Tropico 6 DLC, dubbed Festival, releases on August 26th for PC and console.

Putting those autocratic antics on the back burner, the Festival DLC casts players as a party planner tasked with helping El Presidente host a season of soirees for the ever-assenting Tropicana populace. But complicating the task is the no small matter of warding off an ancient entity known as ‘The Boredom’ vying to render the isle fun-less and drab.

The new Tropico 6 DLC grants players four themed areas to throw parties, new buildings, notably a fireworks factory and dance school. Additionally, Tropico 6 Festival includes new dictator-approved tunes. Furthermore, there’s a fresh theme-appropriate outfit to spruce up the man himself and lick of paint for his presidential palace.

Tropico 6 Festival DLC Features

  • Party it up with the new ‘Festival’ mechanic: host 20+ types of festivals each based off different eras and ensure your soirees are the talk of the town for years to come.
  • New scenario-driven campaign: take on The Boredom – an ancient evil threatening to engulf Tropico in clouds of mundanity and mind-numbing activities.
  • 8 new buildings: make use of 4 new festival areas and ensure your parties are well equipped with new buildings like the Balloon Factory and Fireworks Factory.
  • Add a spring to your citizens’ step with the Dance School and keep your island visitor numbers healthy by adding a Ticket Shop for specific festivals.
  • 4 new Tropico 6 tunes: keep the party going with an assortment of new tracks, each tailored to a different festival.
  • 3 new edicts: experiment with exciting new features like Funhouser Special, Customer Service and Laundry Festivals.
  • 2 new customization options: pick your perfect party outfit and set your palace to match.

Once again, Tropico 6 Festival DLC launches on August 26th on PC, macOS, Linux, Xbox One, and PlayStation. And, up until launch day, Realmforge Studios and Kalypso Media are dishing out 10% off the Festival DLC for PC players that pre-order on the Kalypso Store.
