The actor begged fans to follow his wife in posts leading up to Hilaria Baldwin’s 39th birthday on January 6. On Thursday, Alec shared a selfie video saying he wanted many people to follow his wife on Instagram as a birthday gift to her. “Would you do that for me? Would you follow my wife on Instagram? Please?” He added.

The Notting Hill actor called Hilaria his “favorite person” and noted that she was only a few numbers short of a million followers. Alec also enlisted the help of their nine-year-old daughter, Carmen, to drive home his pleas. “Follow my mum on Instagram, please, and thank you,” she chimed in the video her dad posted to his account.
The comedian further emphasized that it had to be done that day. Expectedly, Hilaria Baldwin’s followers increased until she hit one million followers.
