Tristan Thompson has reportedly been paying Maralee Nichols child support. The professional basketball player has been paying child support to Nichols child support for their son, Theo, during their ongoing legal battle.
Thompson, 31, was reported to have been paying child support to the mother of his son, Theo, since the birth of the child. An attorney for the NBA player recently confirmed that he “is paying, and has paid, child support to Ms. Nichols retroactive to the date she delivered the child.”
The fitness model, 31, welcomed 8-month-old Theo in December 2021, months after she filed a paternity lawsuit against the athlete.

In February this year, a representative for Nichols claimed that Thompson had not been contributing in any way to Theo’s life. “Despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support their son,” the representative said. “He has not made any attempt to meet their son, nor has he provided any financial assistance.”
According to Us Weekly, Four months later, a source disclosed that the Canadian native had still not met his son. Thompson was described “very absent” in his son’s life. The insider also noted that the sports star had not initiated a meeting with his child.
Nichols sued Thompson for child support in June 2021, alleging their child was conceived in March that year.
Did Thompson Confirm His Paternity?
In January, Thompson confirmed his paternity in an Instagram Story while tendering his apologies to Khloe Kardashian, 38, who he was dating at the time. He announced:
Khloe later revealed during the June season finale of The Kardashians that she found out about Nichols and Theo along with the rest of the world.
One month later, Khloe announced that she and her ex were expecting a second child together via surrogate. The duo also share a daughter, True, 4. On August 5, it was confirmed that the surrogate gave birth to a baby boy.
