By its very genre, Tribes of Midgard constantly holds the fear of losing your progress over your head. Losing everything that you spent an entire run cultivating, especially the extremely important Golden Horns, can be very demoralizing, so it is important to know how to get out of a run with these cherished resources. This guide will help you find and teach you how to use the Bifrost in Tribes of Midgard and escape with your riches.

What is and Where to Find the Bifrost

The Bifrost allows players to leave the world they are currently playing on, ending their run before their Seed of Yggdrasil is overrun and dies. Doing this allows you to carry over your Golden Horns to the next world. When you first start a new world, The Bifrost is signaled on your map by a crown symbol usually found near your village. The locations will be randomized every new game. It is a crystal circle coming out of the ground, so it is very hard to miss.

How to Use the Bifrost in Tribes of Midgard

Despite being able to approach it at any point, the Bifrost will not be immediately useable. To use the Bifrost, you have to survive until you reach Day 3. Once you’ve done that, the Giant boss will spawn and you will need to defeat it. Once you’ve done that, the Bifrost will unlock and you will be able to leave the world. Doing so will give you a score based on the number of days you survived as well as increase your level track. It will also allow you to retain all Golden Horns you acquired during that run which can be used to buy items and runes in later runs.

Doing this will remove you from your current world permanently, so be sure that you are completely done with your Tribes of Midgard run before using the Bifrost. Just because you can use it immediately after the Giant’s defeat doesn’t mean you should. As you continue to play, weigh your options and see how difficult these battles are becoming. If you don’t think you are able to survive another attack, make a strategic decision and make the return to Valhalla.
