The giant titans in Tribes of Midgard can prove to be quite a challenge, especially if you’re unprepared. While their movement speed may be slow, you wouldn’t want to battle these gargantuan beings head-on without having a clear understanding of what you’re up against. Angrboða, the dark, corrupted giantess, will conjure pools of dark magic that can make quick work of you and your comrades if you’re not careful. Her unique connection with the darkness also allows her to spawn helthings, the baneful creatures who only attack during nightfall. Read on to learn how to effectively deal with her minions and beat Angrboða in Tribes of Midgard.

How to Beat Angrboða in Tribes of Midgard

To defeat the Jotunn Angrboða in Tribes of Midgard, you’ll need to have lightning elemental weapons in your arsenal. This is because Angrboða is weak to electric and lighting attacks. She can cast AOE magic attacks and summon helthings from the darkness. A safe strategy would be to switch from melee to ranged attacks when fighting Angrboða and her helthings.

Helthings are minor enemies that will only strike at night but are consumed by the sun when the day breaks. However, due to Angrboða’s passive aura of darkness, they can be spawned by her even during the daytime. Make sure to quickly get rid of the helthings whenever they appear to focus on dealing damage to Angrboða.

Angrboða’s health will scale with the number of players on your team, yet you can use this to your advantage by rotating attacks. Bear in mind that she is vulnerable to attacks when she is spawning her pools of darkness. Make sure to always be moving and positioning yourself during the boss fight so that you can go in and attack while avoiding the corrupted magic attacks.

Tribes of Midgard is available on PS4, PS5, and PC.
