Treyarch has launched a new “Bonus” Playlist for Black Ops II players that includes Nuketown 2025. Yesterday the developer removed the Nuketown 24/7 playlist, and players had no way to access their exclusive pre-order content. Developers said that it was possible it would be returning in the future.
That future was apparently hours away, because shortly after, they launched a Bonus playlist which featured the map in what’s called the “Chaos Moshpit”. The Chaos Moshpit features Small maps with a variety of game modes, which Treyarch calls “Pure Chaos”. This includes the Nuketown 2025 map, and can hold anywhere from 6-12 players.
You won’t get Nuketown 2025 everytime, but the action will be just as hectic on the smaller Black Ops II maps. Fans pleaded with the developers via Twitter, asking for the map’s return, and they’ve responded in short order, a testament to just how quickly Treyarch can change things up on the playlist side of things for the recently released shooter.
Those looking for Nuketown 2025 to enter in the normal rotation of maps on standard playlists, shouldn’t get their hopes up. Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar says it will fragment the community too badly at this point, and they have no plans on doing it.
