While Tower of Fantasy features relatively accessible gameplay and combat, the same cannot be said about its somewhat convoluted UI, which left many Wanderers puzzled about where to access their mail. The reason for this predicament could be a lack of experience in UX design or localization challenges, as the game is developed and supported initially in Mandarin Chinese. Whatever the case, frustrated fans struggling to find the in-game mailbox is undoubtedly not a good sign regarding the game’s UI navigation accessibility. Fortunately, the solution to accessing one’s mailbox in Tower of Fantasy is reasonably straightforward and will be effortless to do once Wanderers develop the routine of opening it.

How To Open The Mailbox In Tower Of Fantasy

To access the mail menu in Tower of Fantasy, Wanderers must first open the overlay menu using the Esc key or pressing the tri-hexagonal icon in the screen’s upper-right corner. Next, select “Friends” to open the Social Networking menu and choose the red “Mailbox” tab in the upper-right corner.

Alternatively, there is another to access one’s mail directly during gameplay in Tower of Fantasy. If the player has received a message, notification, or gift yet to be opened, a small envelope icon will appear beneath the right-hand side of the in-game minimap. A red number indicating how many letters haven’t been viewed will also appear above this UI element. Accordingly, Wanderers can click or tap on this icon to enter the mailbox without any extra steps. However, as explained, this option only appears when there is available unread mail. If no such mail exists, then Tower of Fantasy fans will need to access the mailbox using the procedure mentioned earlier.

Although knowing how to open the mailbox in Tower of Fantasy is not essential for gameplay progression, it is a necessary action that players must take to claim various rewards given to them by Perfect World. Whenever the developers offer the players compensation for maintenance or grant them rewards for their patronage, the digital goods can only be accessed via the mail menu. Furthermore, those who’ve purchased the 30-day Monthly Card pass can only receive their daily Dark Crystals through the in-game mailbox and nowhere else. Luckily, the envelop icon below the minimap should appear whenever the items arrive. Still, it can be a hassle if the player fails to claim the items before closing the mailbox without knowing how to reopen their mail.

Tower of Fantasy is available on PC, Android, and iOS.
