Despite the general strong balance of characters featured in Blizzard’s Overwatch, there were a few characters that quickly popped up as being problems. Some of them have been addressed already, but now Blizzard has their sights focused on the turret-creator Torbjörn.

This was revealed within a Reddit topic created by a fan that states that Torbjörn is “utterly ruining” the game, at least on PlayStation 4. This resulted in the game’s director, Jeff Kaplan, to reply with the following information on a nerf:

“In an upcoming patch, we will reduce the damage done by Torbjörn’s turret by 30% on Xbox One and PS4. PC will remain unchanged. ETA – Mid to late July depending on 1st party certification times.” You can check out the entire topic by clicking right here.

So if you were a Torbjörn player on consoles and were able to dominate the enemy team easily, that will soon be changing for you. The good news is that this will not impact PC players at all, where it seems the character is giving people less of an issue. The developer had most recently been looking into nerfing Widowmaker, claiming that they were aiming to lower her “frustration threshold” for everyone.
