Fans of Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle believe distance has proved to be a stumbling block for the couple’s long-term relationship aspirations. Since Too Hot To Handle first aired in 2020, most of the relationships have ended on bad terms, much to fans’ disappointment. However, season 4 of Too Hot To Handle spoiled fans with an array of attractive and likable singles. Some of these contestants formed strong connections, which finally had fans thinking this time would be different.

The Netflix series featured hot couple and eventual winners Jawahir khalifa and Nick Kici. Brittan Byrd and James Pendergrass also stole headlines with their deep chemistry, while Kalya Richart and Sebastian Melrose entered into official relationships. But, sadly, it seems the couples are not doing so well in the real world.

In a video dropped by Netflix in December, fans became heartbroken by the news that Nick and Jawahir were officially over. Jawahir revealed she fell in love but got her heart broken. She seems to have dusted herself off as she declared, “I’m single, and I’m so not ready to mingle.” Nick explained he tried to make it work by moving to London to be with Jawahir after filming ended. However, things did not work out, and now he is trying to focus on himself.

Meanwhile, Reality TV stars Kayla and Seb also ended their relationship. The pair dated for a few months after filming but eventually called it quits. Despite ending the relationship, Kayla revealed they were still communicating. On his part, Seb admits that he is still very much in love with Kayla. The duo still seems to harbor feelings for each other but accept that long distance has been a stumbling block.

Fans Believe Distance is Breaking Romances

The relationships from season 4 of Too Hot To Handle all seem to have hit a dead-end, and from all indications, the distance appears to be a significant factor. Seb, who was formerly in a relationship with Kayla, gave credibility to these claims when he admitted long-distance strained their relationship. In a video released on his TikTok, Seb explained that he is still in love with Kayla and willing to give it another try as soon as they can work a way around the distance.

The video has stirred several reactions from fans, with many of them keen to reemphasize the disruptive effect distance has played in the relationships of Too Hot To Handle stars outside the retreat.

Another user u/gracespraykeychain quipped:

The importance of distance was further highlighted when fan-favorite couple Brittan and James rekindled their romance after the latter moved from Hawaii to Los Angeles to be closer to Brittan. While many fans agreed that couples in distance relationships face a barrier, some fans had a more cynical view of the issue.

One fan expressed:

For now, it is hard to know whether Seb is chasing clout with his recent videos. However, it is pretty clear that he and Kayla still have unresolved feelings.

Fans Believe Stopping International Casting Might Curb Breakups

Too Hot To Handle season 4 featured an international cast of 10 singles. The contestants got selected from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Netherlands. Now, all eyes are on producers to see if they will bow to pressure from fans and effect changes ahead of the next season.
