That’s right, skater fans and gamer fans can now reunite once again! No, sadly this game isn’t another Tony Hawk Pro Skater game but it can still be just as cool. According to Polygon.com, a new Tony Hawk mobile game is hitting mobile phones on December 13.
The game is called Tony Hawk Skate Jam and although it’s for a mobile device, it seems to follow in the footsteps of Tony Hawk’s numerous other skateboarding games. The goals are pretty simple, you can skate through parks, pull off some dope tricks while going for high scores!
The descriptions of the new game in the Apple App Store and Google Play store say Tony Hawk Skate Jam will feature a career mode, global tournaments, and three skating disciplines. Those three disciplines include street, park, and vert.
This brand new Android and the iOS game will have 15 parks to shred on and a bunch of Birdhouse brand skateboards to collect. And also, the best news is that it will be free to play for everyone! So now all fans of the past console games can now enjoy some Tony Hawk on the go.
Skate Jam, developed by Maple Media, will set “A new bar for authentic tricks, controls, and music in a mobile skate game.” They say it’s all thanks to Tony.
This actually isn’t the first attempt at a mobile Tony Hawk skateboarding game. Tony Hawk’s Shred Session, was another game that was never fully released for the public to play.
The last Tony Hawk game that was released actually didn’t please fans too well. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was released back on September 29, 2015. It’s available for PlayStation 3 and 4 as well as Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It was the last game during Hawk’s deal with Activision.
I guess we’ll have to see if Tony Hawk Skate Jam can make fans happy to play his games again.
