Lara Croft is bringing her adventures to smartphones next year with Tomb Raider Reloaded. This is her third debut on a mobile platform together with her Lara Croft Go in 2015 and Lara Croft: Relic Run. Currently, information about the game is slim aside from being available on the App Store and PlayStore.

Square Enix did release a short trailer that only heightened the anticipation for Tomb Raider Reloaded. It shows Lara Croft using her iconic dual handgun to face down wolves, spiders, a golem, and a T-Rex. Of course, what is Tomb Raider without any traps? As seen in the trailer below, it has flying arrows and crumbling tombs to complete the ambiance and gameplay.

With the golem and T-Rex’s inclusion on its trailer, expect Tomb Raider Reloaded to have a more fantastical twist on its story. This is completely different from the series’ Shadow of the Tomb Raider that was released last year on high-end consoles. Expect the gameplay to have a classic and lighter take that is perfect on mobile.

As a free-to-play game, expect a number of microtransactions to keep it flowing smoothly.

Tomb Raider Reloaded is developed by Square Enix’s London mobile team together with a Canadian developer Emerald City Games. Its past titles are G.I. Joe War on Cobra, Lionheart: Dark Moon, Stormblades, Lionheart Tactics, and Sacred Seasons. As mentioned, this is already Lara Croft’s third visit to mobile gaming. Lara Croft Go was a winner of the best mobile handheld game in The Game Awards 2015. Lara Croft: Relic Run, on the other hand, is an endless runner game that may remind you of Temple Run. Tomb Raider Reloaded should help to round out the trio of mobile titles nicely.

Speaking of Square Enix, they recently released Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. It is the game series’ first rhythm game and its debut on Nintendo Switch.
