The new movie poster for Sony’s Uncharted finds Nathan Drake in quite the compromising position. The poster shows a terrified Tom Holland grappling onto flaming cargo for dear life after he’s thrown from a crashing airplane, a look of terror that Tom Holland says was very much authentic. The Uncharted poster focuses on an action sequence that has been the highlight of most of the Uncharted promos so far, a scene in the film that Holland describes as the hardest action sequence he’s ever made.

Spider-Man’s Tom Holland is taking big risks with his Uncharted role
In a recent behind-the-scenes promo, Holland talks about the extreme measures he took while filming stunts for Uncharted.
The new Tom Holland Uncharted poster received mixed reactions on Twitter. Fans praised its high quality, while others were skeptical of the movie being a video game adaptation. Video game translations are usually met with skepticism, with fans complaining that Hollywood screenwriters don’t do a good job capturing the tone and overall plot of some of their favorite games, with many screenwriters veering too far from the source material.
The Uncharted film is instead acting as a prequel. This will give writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway more wiggle room to develop Holland’s adaptation of Nathan Drake. Uncharted is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland: Double Tap) and stars Mark Wahlberg (Infinite), Antonio Banderas (Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard), Sophia Ali (Grey’s Anatomy), and Tom Holland as the video game’s hero Nathan Drake.
Uncharted will be exclusively in theaters on February 18th. Stay tuned to The Nerd Stash for the latest developments in movie news.
