Tom Holland has confirmed that Jamie Foxx will be returning as Electro in Spider-Man: No Way Home. He will be reprising this role which he last played in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. No Way Home is already confirmed or rumored to have several returning villains and heroes from Spider-Man movies outside of the MCU, including Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus.

“Everyone puts their trousers on in the same way in the morning,” Holland said. “It was interesting having those guys come in because they have certain ownership over Spider-Man in their own way, and…I’m talking about Alfred and Jamie and those guys.”

Now, this confirmation isn’t totally a surprise as Foxx returning as Electro had been basically confirmed beforehand but it wasn’t officially confirmed by Marvel or Kevin Feige. Jamie Foxx himself spoiled this detail in a now-deleted Instagram post that confirmed his involvement in No Way Home while also suggesting that this version of Electro would be different.

“Tell Spidey let’s run it back!… super excited to be part of the new Marvel Spider-Man new installment… can’t wait for y’all to check the new one. And I won’t be blue in this one!! But a thousand percent badass!!!” Foxx said in the post.

All these questions will be answered when Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on Dec. 17.
