The staff for the Tokyo Revengers anime debuted a new promotional video for  Tokyo Revengers season 2. The video itself shows the “Christmas Showdown” arc that follows the manga storyline. Lastly, the promotional video revealed the highly anticipated release date of the Tokyo Revengers anime.

Along with this news, the anime is also replacing the voice actor for Ken Ryuguji, or Draken. Masaya Fukunishi is replacing Tatsuhisa Suzuki, as confirmed by the anime’s website. This news comes after the December announcement that Suziki will be taking a break from “all entertainment industry activities” due to mental and physical fatigue. The website also confirms that Fukunishi will be in the upcoming Blu-ray box, as well as broadcasts, streaming, and other versions of the anime from July forward. Besides Suzuki, the rest of the cast and crew are expected to return for  Tokyo Revengers season 2.

The anime’s first season premiered on April 10th and aired for 24 episodes. Since its release, the Tokyo Revengers story has skyrocketed the manga sales to number one spots all over the world. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired and also streamed an English dub.

Ken Wakui published the Tokyo Revengers manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017.  It is still ongoing. Currently, Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga digitally in English. Compared to physical copies, new chapters and volumes are able to arrive a lot faster.
