Something big is set to be announced about Dragon Ball Super very soon. Toei Animation has not given too many details, but it sounds exciting.
Toei Animation just tweeted out today the following announcement: “We have a big surprise coming! Stay tuned! #DragonBallSuper #DBS”
The tweet was accompanied with a picture of Dragon Ball Super referencing the Universe 6 vs Universe 7 tournament. It could be just a generic picture, or it might be a clue to the next story arc.
The Goku Black/Future Trunks story arc has been going on for over 20 weeks now and it’s exciting. However, it looks like it might be ending soon so the next story arc could be announced.
It has been teased that another Universe tournament might be held in the future of the TV series. It may feature more than just Universe 6 and Universe 7.
This is just speculation on our part. Some people speculate that they might be announcing the Funimation English dub. This could be a possibility, although it’s more likely Funimation will announce this and not Toei Animation.
Right now, all we have to do is wait for Toei Animation to make the announcement about Dragon Ball Super. Hopefully it’s something that will please Dragon Ball fans worldwide.
Update: Big news. It turns out Funimation will be working on an English dub after all. No other details were given at this time. For now, Dragon Ball Super will be streaming on Funimationnow starting on November 5th with English subtitles first.
