Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie are priming up for the commencement of their prison sentence, but before then, they hope to tighten all loose ends. One such loose end in need of straightening is the ongoing speculations that Todd Chrisley may, in fact, be gay and had an affair with Mark Braddock. This speculation followed allegations made against the Chrisley Knows Best star by Mark, his former business associate, during their November court trial.
The 53-year-old, while appearing on his Chrisley Confessions podcast on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, alongside his son, Chase Chrisley, debunked the gay allegations. Addressing Braddock’s claims that they enjoyed a passionate affair back in the early 2000s, the TV personality admitted he felt insulted. According to him, if, at any point, he chose to be with a man, he’d choose someone better-looking than Mark Braddock. Todd told his son:
Going further, Todd Chrisley, who received a combined nineteen-year prison sentence with his wife Julie Chrisley for fraud and tax evasion, further stressed his aversion to the idea by taking aim at Mark’s physical appearance. He described him as a “toad” and “someone who looked like a thumb.”
Todd Chrisley Deems Himself Too Good For Mark Braddock Amid Gay Allegations
Further backing his claims that he had no gay affair with his business associate, Todd Chrisley pointed out that Mark’s version of the story changed several times during the trial. After subtly praising his own sexual capabilities and endowment, which he believed capable of driving anyone crazy, the star noted that he would feel less embarrassed if the likes of Brad Pitt or George Clooney accused him of having an affair with them. He added:
Mark Braddock landed a job with Todd Chrisley in 2005. However, the business associate claimed their connection went beyond business relations, as they had a romantic relationship for about a year. After the alleged romance ended, Mark claimed they remained close friends until 2012, even likening their relationship to a brotherhood.
Todd Chrisley has since denied these gay claims, insisting they had a strictly business-based relationship. Despite refuting Mark’s claims, the media has been divided over whether or not the gay allegations were true. But With Todd setting the record straight on Chrisley Confessions, he at least has the last word on the issue before reporting to prison to begin his sentence.
