Todd And Julie’s Prison Sentence Begins Next Week

Todd and Julie Chrisley, known for their extravagant lifestyles, were convicted of a multimillion-dollar bank fraud and tax evasion scheme.

The duo is expected to report to federal prisons in Florida next week. Todd will serve his 12-year sentence at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola while Julie will spend the next seven years at Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp Marianna, two-and-a-half hours away from their children.

The entire family was thrown into mourning after the Chrisley Knows Best stars were sentenced. Meanwhile, they filed a request to extend their surrender date by 21 days, but the court denied it on Tuesday.

However, Todd and Julie Chrisley are determined to appeal their conviction and have filed a motion. In a statement previously provided to People, their attorney Alex Little of Burr & Forman LLP said, in part:

Julie Chrisley Is Headed To A Prison Camp For Business People

Although Todd and Julie will have to adjust to their prison sentence, Julie Chrisley will not have it so bad. According to a legal expert, she will serve her sentence in a camp. The camp is “still confinement,” but a “camp is the best place to be,” according to veteran defense attorney Paul Cambria.

Paul explained that camps are similar to dormitories with cameras and monitors but no fences or barbed wire. The atmosphere is also more relaxed than in a regular prison.

Paul added that the place is usually referred for “business people, professionals, lawyers, doctors, dentists and accountants.”

Meanwhile, Todd is headed to a male-only, minimum-security prison in Pensacola, where he is to stay for 12 years. Following Todd and Julie’s prison sentence, they will each serve three years of supervised release, according to the North District of Georgia U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Although Todd and Julie’s prison sentence starts next week, the couple still hopes for a favorable appeal. Hopefully, the truth is fully uncovered, and justice is served to the reality TV stars.
