Todd and Julie Chrisley Were Sentenced After Fraud Conviction
The Chrisley Knows Best matriarch and patriarch have been sentenced to a combined total of 19 years in prison. Todd was sentenced to 12 years, while his wife, Julie, was sentenced to seven years in prison. Both got 16 months probation. Their accountant, Peter Tarantino, also received a three-year sentence for filing two false corporate tax returns for the Chrisleys’ company.
Todd and his wife were indicted in 2019 and accused of submitting fake documents to banks to secure loans estimated to be over $30 million.
A new indictment was filed in February after Julie was also accused of using fake statements to rent a house. Their trial began two months later in Atlanta. The pair, who maintained their innocence, were convicted in June 2022.
Todd was found guilty of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and tax evasion. In addition to the same federal charges as her husband, Julie was convicted of wire fraud and obstruction of justice.

According to Deadline, Chrisley Knows Best and its spin-off, Growing Up Chrisley, were axed. Growing Up Chrisley follows their kids, Chase and Savannah, as they become adults and gradually move away from their parents.
Chrisley Knows Best was renewed for a tenth season a month before the convictions. However, USA Network will air a handful of episodes, filmed before the trial, from this season next year.
Meanwhile, Growing Up Chrisley also moved to E! from USA network for its fourth season in May.
Todd was also initially revealed at the time as the host of the upcoming dating show Love Limo. However, reports indicate that E! has canceled that project as well.
Following the convictions, Todd asked for prayer on a Chrisley Confessions podcast episode.
However, Julie dissed those who didn’t reach out after the verdict.
Their children also responded to the situation, thanking those who reached out and insisting on their parents’ innocence.
The Chrisleys will need all the love and encouragement they can get in this trying period. Hopefully, they come out of this stronger and better.
