Todd and Julie began their sentence on Tuesday, January 17. Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were sentenced to their respective federal prisons, reported yesterday for their punishment. Read on for more details.

 Todd And Julie Begin Sentence

Todd and Julie Chrisley started serving their jail terms yesterday. The Chrisley Knows Best couple started their new life behind bars, where they will spend a combined term of 19 years.

Todd reported to the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, where he will serve for 12 years. Julie, on the other hand, was reassigned. She was originally meant to spend the next seven years at Federal Correctional Institution Marianna, just two hours away. However, she was redeployed to the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Lexington, Ky, on December 20. She also has a 16-month probation sentence to fulfill once she is released from prison.

Just days ago, the Chrisleys were denied bail. The court also dismissed their request to extend their surrender date by 21 days. Meanwhile, the Chrisleys are appealing their convictions.

Julie Chrisley Is Sad About Spending Time Away From Her Family

The Chrisleys’ first indictment was in August 2019, and a new indictment was filed in February 2022. Prosecutors alleged that the duo submitted fake documents to banks when applying for loans. They also claimed that Julie submitted false credit reports and bank statements when trying to rent a house in California. The couple received a guilty verdict in June 2022.

Julie raised her concerns in a January episode of the Chrisley Confessions podcast. The 50-year-old expressed her concerns over being “separated” from Todd for an extended period while in jail.

The Chrisley family matriarch recalled a friend’s advice that “the tears that you shed are sowing the seeds for your future.” She noted that the quote strengthened her “because I have not typically been a crier and this whole experience has truly taken me to my knees.”

Todd and Julie Chrisley have been married since 1996 and share three children: Chase, Savannah, and Grayson.  Todd also has two kids with ex-wife Teresa Terry: Lindsie and Kyle.

As Todd and Julie begin their sentence, they may find adjusting to the strange place difficult. Hopefully, they will continue to receive the strength to carry on for themselves and their children.
