TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is finally available on all major current-gen platforms, bringing the dynamic team of ninja turtles in to tackle yet another major threat. As you and up to five(!) other friends team up to take on the latest evil, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to defeat your foes and, of course, eat tons of pizza. Though before you can get into all of the fun, you need to make sure you can play with your friends. If you have some friends on other platforms, that’ll mean you need crossplay. If you’re curious if you and those friends can play together, no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll answer whether there is crossplay in TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge!
Is There Crossplay in TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge?
While for most games this would be a simple answer of either yes or no, the way that TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge designed its crossplay is starkly different from most games. There’s very limited crossplay at the moment, meaning that while PC and Xbox players can easily play together, players on both PlayStation and Switch can’t play with each other or the two platforms with crossplay enabled. Again, this is a very unusual situation. The only time where you tend to see this happen is with games simultaneously on the Windows Store and Xbox, but not generally with Steam. Still, it’s nice for those on those platforms.
No need to worry though! While crossplay isn’t on either of the other platforms and the developers haven’t said too much on the matter, there’s a strong chance it’ll be available on them at a later date. It doesn’t make a huge amount of sense for it to be on both platforms and have that be the be-all end-all. Again though, the developers haven’t divulged much on the matter, so take that assumption with a grain of salt.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
