Rotten Tomatoes has collected some of the first reviews for TMNT: Out of the Shadows and many of the critics don’t like it so far. It will be interesting to see if this will affect the movie’s Box Office performance.
TMNT: Out of the Shadows only has a dismal 17 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes with only one positive review so far. It’s unlikely other critics will give the movie better reviews as this franchise has never been popular with movie reviewers.
The first reviews criticized lots of aspects of the film such as the lack of Shredder and the turtles themselves acting like bullies. Some even questioned the film’s tone and by-the-numbers plot.
It’s worth mentioning though that a movie starring giant turtles are not meant to be made for critics. The last film made quite a bit of money at the Box Office and that movie was rated poorly.
TMNT: Out of the Shadows will be out later this week so fans can make their own judgment on it. There are many elements to the film that will appeal to older fans such as the additions of Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady and Casey Jones.
