Old Friends and New Threats in Titans
As season three for the web television show Titans continues its development, fans got a chance this weekend to hear that the series would be introducing new characters.
During the show’s panel with cast members and the producers for the DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes on August 22, three comic-book portrayals were announced for DC enthusiasts to get excited with. New trouble arises for the young superhero team, eventually leading them to the crime-filled Gotham City.
Barbara Gordon is established as the Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department. There used to be a little something going on between her and Dick Grayson in the past, but now she’s more focused on having the Titans remain outside of city limits. Dr. Jonathan Crane is currently locked away at Arkham Asylum as an inmate. As the season progresses for round three, Dr. Crane (more well-known as the horrific villain Scarecrow) will offer his services to the Police Department and act as a consultant. And Curran Walters as Jason Todd will return as the revengeful Red Hood, who is hellbent on taking down his former allies. The castings for Gordon and Crane have yet to be announced.
The 24-hour online DC FanDome event showcased many long-awaited projects to be shared. Not only were character details given for the third season of Titans, but we also got to see the teaser for the Justice League Snyder Cut, gameplay footage of Gotham Knights, and a trailer for Wonder Woman 1984.
