One of the biggest epics to be adapted is on its way to post-production. In a celebratory Instagram post (seen below), Timothée Chalamet posted a picture with his father, Marc Chalamet, to announce that Dune: Part Two wrapped filming after it started production back in July.
As of writing, the post was made an hour ago and has 1.2 million likes. The picture shows Timothée Chalamet and his dad holding up the peace sign with big smiles in the desert to celebrate that he finished Dune: Part Two. For now, this is the end of his time as Paul Atreides, the survivor of the royal family who had been wiped out by an attack by House Harkonnen. The sequel will see him rise with his mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Fergusson), and the locals of the planet Arrakis, the Fremen. If the second novel by Frank Herbert, Messiah, gets adapted, it could see him reprise his role to complete the character’s arc.

The Denis Villenueve-directed film spanned across multiple countries to film. It shot in Hungary, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates. The first film shot in Jordan, Norway, the UAE, Hungary, and Austria.

From the cast of returning members, like Timothée Chalamet, and newcomers like Florence Pugh, Dune: Part Two will have a cast that rivals the size of the sand worms seen in the film. For returning cast members, it will star Fergusson, Javier Bardem, Zendaya, Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and Charlotte Rampling. The new cast includes Pugh, Austin Butler, Léa Seydoux, and Christopher Walken.
Although production is done, we will have to be waiting until Dune: Part Two releases. The film is slated to hit theaters on November 3, 2023, a little more than two years after the first film, which was released on October 22, 2021.
