Gamescom is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, and the show will feature a bunch of surprise announcements to make this important milestone.

For the first time in the event’s history, THQ, Ubisoft, and a host of other publishers will be presenting global premiers for brand new titles Gamescom’s opening ceremony.

THQ will be showing off a previously unannounced titles based on one of the publisher’s established brands, while Ubisoft has a new game entirely to show excited consumers. These aren’t the only two developers that plan to show off something new at Gamescom, however.

Square Enix will have brand new footage to show off for Life is Strange 2. Additionally, Deep Silver, Bandai Namco, and a few other studios will also preesent debuts at the event, though details are vague. Capcom also plans to use Gamescom to give consumers a chance to play Devil May Cry 5.

Other developers will also have plenty of offer to show at the show. Nintendo is showing off Super Mario Party for the first time ever, and will also have other upcoming games on its show floor. Sony are also expected to have a big presence, choosing to focus on Spider-Man this year with a handful of other games appearing across the many halls.

Not much is known about the types of games these developers will be showing off at the show, but it’s exciting news for anyone attending. Gamescom kicks off on Aug 21 for trade visitors before opening to the public on Aug. 22 through to the weekend.
