Avengers: Endgame left Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy in a bit of an interesting spot. Thor was going with the team to find Gamora, and that is planned to continue in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. With that movie delayed though, fans have been wondering when they’ll see the team and Thor next. Through an interview with Vin Diesel, we know that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be in Thor 4.

During the interview for Diesel’s upcoming movie Bloodshot, he said “the director talked to me about Thor will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy.”. He soon said that maybe he shouldn’t have said that, but the news is already out there. Mind you there aren’t many people who didn’t see this coming, but it’s definitely interesting to have it confirmed. What role the Guardians will play in Thor 4 is yet to be confirmed, but whatever it is will likely be a good inclusion.

This wasn’t the only news revealed during the interview. Vin Diesel also discussed the appearance of an “Alpha Groot” in Guardians Volume 3. There wasn’t more information, but it is likely that Alpha Groot will be the most powerful version of Groot yet. This could also mean that we could see more Groots than just the one we’ve gotten to know, but that’s entirely speculation. If you have any ideas of what this could mean, be sure to let us know.

Thor: Love and Thunder (Thor 4) is planned for release on November 5th, 2021. The film is being helmed by the returning director Waititi, who previously directed movies like Thor: Ragnarok and Jojo Rabbit. There’s currently no planned release date for Guardians Volume 3, but we’ll let you know once that news is available. Will you be watching Thor 4 or Guardians Volume 3?
