After two days of downtime, Hearthstone returned to us yesterday with a new Tavern Brawl, called Banana Brawl. The premise is simple:
Mukla is a year older, and he LOVES bananas! Whenever one of your minions dies, he gives you a Banana to celebrate!
Unlike last week, players are allowed to choose their class construct their own decks from their pool of available cards. To perhaps prompt creativity, your saved decks are not transferred into Tavern Brawl. A banana works much the same as a spare part. Each costs one mana and produces certain effects. Currently, four varieties are in circulation: Bananas, Big Banana, Deviate Banana and Rotten Banana. While specifying their precise effects would spoil some of the fun, Nerfnow were pretty on the mark with how a typical Banana Brawl unfolds.
The good folks at Hearthpwn have already published a number of suggested decks for getting the most out of your Tavern Brawl for this week, if you’re not quite sure where to start. Most of these decks have their base in making sure you always have low-to-mid cost minions to play alongside your bananas, as well as minions to cannily trade for more banana cards.
As with last week, players will be awarded a free classic booster pack after their first victory.
