If you receive an error that states that this version of Destiny 2 is no longer available, it means exactly what it says. Your version of Destiny 2 does not align with the version of Destiny 2 that is uploaded onto the servers. This typically means that your game needs to be updated to the most recent version.

Players on consoles can use the Check for Update feature to quickly see if they have the most recent version. PC players do not have a simple way to ensure they have the most recent version installed. However, Steam has an Automatic Update feature that should be turned on to ensure that your version of the game is always updated to the most recent version.

That said, there could be another reason that players could get this error, even if their game is up to date. Typically, this happens when Bungie is performing maintenance on the game. This will cause the error to pop up, as Bungie is actively altering the game, meaning it will not line up with the Version you have. In this case, all you can do is wait for Bungie to finish their maintenance, at which time this error should disappear.

If your game is up to date, just make sure to keep an eye on the Bungie Help Twitter page so you can keep track of any updates coming soon or maintenance that is happening.
