Young actress Lyric Ross has just joined the upcoming Marvel Disney Plus series Ironheart. Many might know Lyric Ross from her role as Deja Pearson on the hit NBC show This Is Us. With Lyric Ross transitioning into the world of Marvel, this could lead to a ton of opportunities for her.
The Disney Plus Marvel series Ironheart follows Riri Williams, a genius inventor and the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. As previously reported, Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos have already been signed on to the series. According to Variety, Lyric Ross has indeed signed on for a role in the upcoming series. Dominique Thorne, who will star in the Black Panther sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, has been confirmed to play Riri Williams. In The Heights star Anthony Ramos’ character, the details have yet to be revealed. Many think it’s possible Ramos could be playing a villain. The This Is Us actress Lyric Ross is believed to be playing Riri Williams’ best friend in Ironheart.
This Is Us is currently in its final season, and Lyric Ross is transitioning to take her place in the MCU. The talented actress has earned high esteem for her work as Deja Pearson since joining This Is Us in Season Two. Lyric Ross has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award, along with three NAACP Image Award nominations. The This Is Us actress also won a SAG Award in 2019 for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a Drama Series.
The Ironheart series is one of many Disney Plus Marvel series coming in the future. Some upcoming series include Moon Knight next month, Ms.Marvel, and She-Hulk.
