DICE is readying for release of Battlefield 4 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Today they’ve dished new details on how to get into the multiplayer beta, and new details on upgrading your current-generation copy of Battlefield 4 to one for the Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
First for the beta news, reiterated from last week. If you’ve pre-ordered the Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe Edition, were a Battlefield 3 Premium member, or were a registered owner of Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition or Digital Deluxe — you’ll get access to the beta on October 1st.
For those who don’t meet the above requirements, there will be a public beta via Xbox Live, PSN, and Orgin, beginning on October 4th.
As for upgrading your copy of Battlefield 4 for the next-generation, DICE has put together a lengthy features list, and it varies from retailer to retailer. But inside copies of Battlefield 4 on the PS4 there will be a voucher with a unique code printed on it. This code will allow you to upgrade your copy of the game on the PlayStation Store.
As for Battlefield 4 upgrades on the Xbox One, it looks like the only route is to trade in the game at participating retailers. You can find more details about doing so, here.
