THQ Nordic is one of the most active publishers out there, with lots of intellectual properties in its portfolio and many studios that have been acquired recently. The latest news from the publisher is about the acquisition of Gothic and Elex developer Piranha Bytes, and the incoming release of a triple-A project from the makers of Metro. Tom Cruise’s space movie is going into lightspeed – Universal is putting $200 million behind it. Reported in Deadline, Cruise managed to seal the deal via a Zoom call. He pitched the idea for his movie alongside director Doug Liman, producer and story advisor Christopher McQuarrie and PJ van Sandwijk. And what’s more, they did so without a script, which Liman is currently writing. This news follows on from May, where Deadline revealed that Cruise was working alongside NASA and SpaceX’s Elon Musk to create a space-based movie....

Ubisoft’s digital E3 will premier Sunday in the US. Today in a post over on their official website, Ubisoft detailed what to expect from their upcoming Ubisoft Forward event, which will feature updates for games both old and new. Sharkmob has unveiled the latest patch notes for their battle royale Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt. The update introduces a new game mode, free loot, daily challenges, and the promise of less waiting between each game. It is being referred to as the “community update” because the newly added Duos Mode arrives after repeated requests from the player base. The mode supports 42 players and will temporarily replace Trios. Players can also expect to get into matches quicker following the latest update....
