Even though WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging platforms, the app has recently put users at risk with several issues, including its privacy policy update. We recently saw a nasty scam circulating on WhatsApp that enables a user’s contacts to hack them. Now, a more deadly vulnerability has come to light that uses WhatsApp’s verification system to allow hackers to deactivate a user account permanently. Discovered by security researchers Luis Marquez Carpintero and Ernesto Canales Perena and brought to light by Forbes, this new hack can be lethal for WhatsApp users as it involves a pretty simple albeit tedious process....

The public sale of tickets to the Taylor Swift tour “The Eras” has been stopped by Ticketmaster, it has announced today on Twitter (seen below). It has cited “high demands on ticketing systems” and a lack of ‘ticket inventory to meet that demand.” Ticketmaster stopping the sale of tickets to the upcoming Taylor Swift tour is only a part of fan frustration. When the pre-sale went live, the system was overwhelmed, leading to high wait times and website crashes that sent people to the back of the virtual line to see the pop singer next year....

Don’t expect much from Titanfall any time soon Respawn hit it big with Apex Legends, their take on the Battle Royale genre. 50 million players jumped onto the free-to-play title, eclipsing any previous success they found with Titanfall and other titles. So understandably, there hadn’t been much word on the future of the Titanfall series, of which Apex Legends is a small part. In a new statement though, Executive Producer Drew McCoy explained that plans for any future Titanfall games, including Titanfall 3 it would seem, have been pushed out in favor of more support for Apex Legends....

Titanfall released on Xbox One and PC exactly one year ago today, at least for those that have passed midnight on the east coast, with the 360 release coming over a month later. The game was well received, but seemingly forgotten about in the wake of other shooters like Destiny and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare later in the year. Whether it is a complete mistake or an anniversary gift for the game’s release, the Season Pass on Xbox One is completely free right now...

Bring back the classics With the PlayStation 5 on the horizon, and remakes or re-releases becoming abundant, nostalgia is also building for many. They don’t need a colossal budget and many years of work like Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The graphics don’t need to be amazing and the scripts don’t need a massive overhaul. A big holiday season upcoming for gaming. The summer is over and we are now officially in the fall season, which is always the busiest time of the year for gaming. This year in particular is setting up to be massive with not only two next generation consoles set to launch, but also a strong slate of games as well. North American retailer, Toys R Us, has now revealed its Black Friday deals for PS4, Xbox One and Wii U consoles and games. It appears all North American retailers are offering the same price and deals for PS4 and Xbox One console bundles. Toys R Us’ console bundles for Black Friday are identical to that of Walmart’s and Target’s. The deals were scanned and posted online via AllForGameNews. At Toys R Us, you can also score yourself a PS4 500GB console for only $299....

Twitter has been adding various new features to its micro-blogging platform to protect users’ privacy. It recently introduced a feature that allows users to unmention themselves from unwanted tweets earlier this year and has now released another privacy-focused feature. This new feature, which is a part of its updated Private Information Policy, will refrain people from sharing others’ photos and videos without their consent or authorization. The company recently shared a tweet to announce the expansion of the policy....

The biggest news from Ubisoft at E3 2018. Ubisoft traditionally has strong E3 showings by any means necessary. In recent years they’ve stolen the E3 show with new IP like WatchDogs and The Division. Last year it was the reveal of Beyond Good and Evil 2. What will we hear this year? It’s expected that we’ll hear a lot more about Ubisoft’s known quantities. This includes more from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and The Division 2....

So, to promote these consoles and new video game titles, companies are organizing contests to give away custom controllers for gamers. Now, Ubisoft is giving away a pretty dope custom-controller which, I think, will be a dream gaming tool for all the Assassin’s Creed fans. However, the sad news is that this custom-controller is not for sale....

Heading into the second Ubisoft Forward presentation, many fans were expecting to see something out of the company’s tactical pirate action game, Skull & Bones. However, it isn’t quite ready to show off just yet. According to the game’s creative director Elisabeth Pellen, the game has “evolved from its original idea” and will need more so that the team at Ubisoft Singapore and the global crew can reach their new goals for the title....

In a not so cryptic tweet at the start of the month, EA Sports announced that more information would soon be revealed regarding the next UFC video game, cleverly titled UFC 4. Since then, we’ve discovered that the new title will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 14th. That’s not long to wait, and it’s also not that long to build hype. Thankfully, on that front EA has released a new trailer today for UFC 4’s Career Mode....

A new translation from Chinese patch notes on Diablo Immortal has unveiled some concerning aspects. While establishing itself as a questionable microtransaction-heavy experience, many players are still checking out the mobile game from Blizzard Entertainment. But now, some progression might be in jeopardy thanks to an upcoming update where the Hero’s Journey will be reset. It’ll act as the second major update for Diablo Immortal while also kicking off season seven of the game coupled with the Hero’s Journey adjustments....

June offered a handful of titles for Nintendo Switch users, but didn’t really produce anything that screamed “system seller”—and it looks like July is set to continue that trend. While there are a couple of big AAA titles like Octopath Traveller and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker coming out over the next month, there doesn’t appear to be that much else worthy of sinking your hard-earned cash into. That’s not a bad thing, though—after the amount of titles shown at E3 that are set to be coming out at the end of the year, it might be worth saving up your money for the upcoming holiday season....

New Terrain features are the big addition in this patch. Update 0.150.3 has arrived for Valheim and here’s the full list of changes and fixes in this latest patch. This Valheim update is available to download on Steam and were released on Monday, April 19th 2021. The patch was in development for a little bit longer than normal and the developers chalk that up to a new terrain modification system which was made to reduce network instances and ultimately make loading faster and smoother....

Remember those unusual hats that Valve offered to its Team Fortress 2 Community to help raise money for the Japanese Disaster Relief Fund? The fundraiser was a success, raising almost half a million dollars for the worthy cause. On the Team Fortress 2 Blog the tallies were released for the charity drive. Nice work, everyone!
