This class wields a massive hammer and is accompanied by a little dragon sidekick....

The Sticks and Stones game mode has a long lineage in the Call of Duty: Black Ops series, and it makes its return in Season Three of Black Ops Cold War. This free-for-all playlist pits up to eight players against each other, and each player is equipped only with the R1 Shadowhunter crossbow, the Ballistic Knife, and a Tomahawk. While the mode still plays mostly the same this time around, it is still new to plenty of players....

EA Access first debuted back in 2014 as an exclusive service to Xbox One, where select EA titles from the past could all be played for a monthly fee. This service remained only on Xbox One until a couple months ago when it was brought to PC under a new name, Origin Access, which now has a new game in its library with Titanfall. Titanfall also released back in 2014 and got much praise upon release, but quickly lost its player base as people moved onto other games....

A classic perk returns next year. The Tombstone perk is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies. Teased in a New Year’s Eve tweet, Treyarch posted a screenshot of the fan-favorite Perk-a-Cola to celebrate the new year. Tombstone Soda debuted in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the Tranzit map. This perk allows a player to recollect their full inventory after death, acting as an insurance policy that would get you quickly caught up if you go down on a high round....

Publisher PQube has announced that Tormented Souls is now available on Xbox Series X/S. The game has only been available on PlayStation 5 and PC until today, but now it’s available to purchase on Microsoft’s current-gen consoles for $19.99/£16.99. If you check today, you can see Tormented Souls in the list of new titles on the Microsoft Store. Otherwise, you’ll likely need to search for it. The game is a callback to classic survival horror, blending the influences of Resident Evil and Silent Hill to create a unique experience with an original story....

Starship Troopers-themed RTS from developer The Artistocrats and publisher Slitherine Ltd (Warhammer 40K: Sanctus Reach, Battlestar Galactica Deadlocked), Starship Troopers: Terran Command, will be launching a free playable demo on Steam next week from Friday, October 1 to 7. The demo will be part of the Steam Next Festival, a six-day long event in which many upcoming games will be releasing demos, letting us all get a taste of them....

Twitch has announced its PlayStation Plus and Games With Gold-like free games lineup, with the brand new service called Free Games with Prime. It’s PC only, so at least at this stage don’t expect it to drop on the console. As for Humble Monthly, Free Games with Prime allows you to download the titles you’re interested in and keep them forever, not as long as you are a subscriber (which is different from Games With Gold and PlayStation Plus)....

Supermassive Games — the developer behind Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology, and The Quarry — has been fully acquired for an undisclosed amount by entertainment company Nordisk Games, the studio announced today. Last year, Nordisk Games took a 30.7% stake in the developer, which then laid a path for a 100% acquisition, according to Supermassive CEO Pete Samuels. “[Since last year], we have found that we share a lot of important values with [Nordisk Games],” Samuels said....
